Dean of Student Success
Sandy Britton is the Dean of Student Success at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD). Under the direction of the President, she serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the Senior Leadership Team, and has the responsibility of providing leadership, strategic planning, and budget development and oversight. Britton also leads KCAD’s Student Success Division, including Student Engagement, Recruitment and Admissions, Student Financial Services, Counseling and Disability Services, and International Student Services. Britton focuses on student success by placing an emphasis on student recruitment and retention; promoting students’ personal learning and engagement inside and outside of the classroom; and assuring students are afforded a substantive ground for personal and professional success after graduation.
Britton also leads KCAD’s Emergency Management Leadership Team and serves as the college’s Title IX Deputy Coordinator, promoting education and training, and serving as a support resource for individuals that are impacted by sexual misconduct.
Britton represents KCAD on the West Michigan Presidents’ Compact Committee, a collective of individuals from ten West Michigan colleges and universities committed to supporting diversity, equity and inclusion on their respective campuses.
In October 2017, Britton was named a recipient of the Michigan Art Education Association (MAEA) Distinguished Service Award.
Britton holds a Master of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University.
