New Student Orientation

New students are encouraged to attend New Student Orientation before their first semester at KCAD.

After you are accepted into KCAD, you will receive an invitation for the New Student Orientation session that is open to you. It is a one-day event and consists of several scheduled sessions (note: this is not an open house format). You will hear from faculty and staff that offer services and resources necessary to your time at KCAD. You will also meet current students that have great advice about life at KCAD. Please see the dates below, look for the semester you will start at KCAD then see the dates that are available for that semester. The details about orientation are included in the invitation. All sessions will be held in person at KCAD.

Spring 2023:

Fall 2023:

• Friday, July 21, 2023 - for undergraduate students
• Tuesday, August 22, 2023 - for graduate students
• Wednesday, August 23, 2023 - for undergraduate students
  
  

Exploration Day Fall 2023:

• Saturday, August 26, 2023 (FREE event open to all students starting at KCAD in Fall 2023)

Please note, there is a one-time fee of $55.00 charged for New Student Orientation. The amount is charged after you attend New Student Orientation. If you do not attend New Student Orientation, you are not charged the fee.
