Marcella Hadden (Niibing Giizis Kwe) is a citizen of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan (Marten Clan). She has an Associate’s Degree in Business and has worked for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe for over 20 years. She presently serves as the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer, assisting the Tribal community to repatriate Ancestors and care for our traditional cultural properties.
Working as a professional photographer and visual artist, Marcella engages in themes that are infused with her Native American culture. Her recent work includes the exhibition Boontak! (Stop It!): Stolen Daughters of Turtle Island, which featured 94 photographs and original artwork that continues to seek and raise awareness for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) that impact tribal communities.
