Digital Knitting with Alexis Troxell
Please join us as KCAD alumna Alexis Troxell (’16, BFA Fashion Studies) talks about her career path that ultimately led to her role as CMF (Color Material Finish) Designer and Knit Specialist at Haworth. Alexis works with state-of-the-art digital knitting machines and custom fiber compositions to create new and unexpected textile possibilities. Not only is digital knitting being implemented in Haworth's product line, but it opens the door to future opportunities for creaking bespoke pieces by removing typical design constraints.
We provide the lunch. You come to learn.
This event is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Surface Matters: Designing for the Body
This presentation will take place in Boyer Hall, Room 217 Woodbridge N. Ferris Building, 17 Pearl St NW. Please reserve your spot via Eventbrite.Images courtesy Haworth.
