  • Kendall Well-Represented at Festival Regional Arts Show

    James LaCroix ('10, Photography) won top honors and a $500 award in photography for an untitled image at the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts Regional Art Exhibition. A $250 LOMA Award by Lois and Matt Tomasiewicz went to Lacey Peacock, also a 2010 photo grad, for an untitled piece, and the $100 Award in Memory of Dr. Gene and June Sevensma and Jack and Kay Barendse went to Jacob Lewkow for "Repossession." Other 2010 photo grads included in the exhibition included Jaime Johnson, Rob Houts and Jennifer Cowden. Work was also accepted from current MFA student Bridgette Broughman, 2009 photo grad Andrew Maguire, KCAD Photography Technician Emily Renkert, and photo faculty Adam DeKraker and Eleanor Gatewood.     MFA graduate Eleanor Gatewood and current MFA students Bridgette Broughman and Emily Gerlach and Professor of Photography, Darlene Kaczmarczyk, completed several installation pieces now on exhibit in ??Michigan ?? Land of Riches ? at the old Grand Rapids Public Museum. This project is a collaborative art exhibition, being directed by Paul Amenta, Assistant Professor of Sculpture and Functional Art.
