  • Konnect Produces Gilson Graphics 2010 Calendar

    In the Spring of 2009 an idea surfaced at Gilson Graphics (Grand Rapids, MI): What if students at Kendall College of Art and Design were asked to design The Gilson Graphics 2010 Calendar? The project found its way into the office of Jason Alger, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design and director of Kendall ??s in-house design studio, Konnect. This past fall, the seven students in Konnect, in partnership with 15 photography seniors from Professor Darlene Kaczmarczyk ??s Professional Practices class, were charged with the task of creating images and designing the calendar.   • Professor Ruth O’Keefe Passes Away

    On November 25, 2009, with her family at her side, Ruth Lagow O'Keefe passed away after a brief but valiant fight with cancer. Professor O ??Keefe recently celebrated her 25th year of teaching at Kendall College of Art and Design, where she was chair of the Liberal Arts and Sciences Department. Teaching was her passion, and she always looked for ways to bring current events into her classroom.
