  • KCAD to Host The [re]vision Project During ArtPrize 2013

    Beginning Sept. 16, Kendall College of Art and Design will invite Grand Rapids to enter into a conversation about what an urban campus is and what it could become. The [re]vision Project is a truly collaborative design experiment that will temporarily transform the section of Pearl St. between the 17 Fountain building and the Woodbridge N. Ferris building into a dynamic green space that facilitates an organic exchange of ideas about sustainability, design thinking, and the relationship between educational institutions and their surrounding communities.   • KCAD Announces Hiring of Interim Dean

    Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) has announced that Vic Liptak will serve as Dean of the College on an interim basis while a search for a permanent Dean is conducted. As Dean, Liptak will facilitate open communication throughout the institution and foster meaningful relationships between students, faculty, and administration.   • KCAD Announces Hiring of Inaugural Community Arts Advocate

    Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) has hired Salvador Jiménez as a Community Arts Advocate. In his new role, Jiménez will develop new relationships with multicultural communities that contain underrepresented, under-served and first generation student populations. Additionally, he will be serving as a liaison to multicultural outreach organizations such as the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology and the Hispanic Center of West Michigan, where he will be making connections and providing networking opportunities to foster these relationships.
