IMMER5E Educational Partnership Announced
Posted May 24, 2013 in Campus, Public"IMMER5E" is the first phase of an ongoing educational partnership between the Grand Rapids Public Museum, Grand Rapids Public Schools and Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. This partnership is part of the strategic direction in each organization as an innovative way to use the museum, enhance school offerings, and develop unique learning opportunities. IMMER5E, year one of a 3-year plan to create a “Museum School,” will be open to 10 fifth grade classes from Grand Rapids Public Schools for school year 2013/2014. The program will be loosely based on the Grand History Lesson, a week-long immersion program at the Grand Rapids Public Museum based on the “Big History Lesson” from the State Museum in Lansing. Kendall Extends Resident Tuition Rates to U.S., Canada
Posted May 21, 2013 in CampusOn May 10, 2013, the Board of Trustees of Ferris State University set the tuition rates for the 2013‐2014 academic year. The Board’s action has resulted in some very good news for residents of the United States and Canada: all undergraduate students will be able to attend Kendall at the Michigan resident rate for all courses, regardless of whether those courses are general education, art history or studio courses. Ferris Board Moves to Honor University Founder

Ferris Building in honor of Ferris State University founder Woodbridge N. Ferris. The university’s Board of Trustees approved the new name at its meeting on Friday, May 10, in Big Rapids. Historic Federal Building Receives Governor s Award for Preservation
