Dual Enrollment Student’s Work is Sooper

Dual Enrollment student Elizabeth Brinks, currently enrolled in Kendall's Foundation Color course at Coopersville High School, received a first place award in the Sooper Art 2010 juried competition.

Open to children ages 5-17, Sooper Art 2010, a competition with an environmental theme, was held during ArtPrize. Through the support of the Wege Foundation, Sooper Art 2010 promoted community participation through its collaboration with the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Entries were judged on the basis of originality, creativity and theme.

Banks was one of the young artists to be awarded the Mark Heckman Special Merit Award and a $250 savings bond. Her work was displayed in the Cook Auditorium inside the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
