MFA Alum Shines Light on New Landscape Work in Robert Henri Museum Residency

Posted August 1, 2017 in AlumniMaster of Fine ArtsMFA Painting

Since embarking on her artistic career in 2000, Pamela Casarez has considered American realist painter Robert Henri to be one of her primary influences. This past June, the Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) alumna (’16, MFA) had the opportunity to undertake an artist residency at a museum focused on Henri and his work.

Located in Cozad, Neb., a city founded by Henri’s father in 1871, the Robert Henri Museum invited Casarez to display a series of paintings she’s been developing focused on the connection between the natural landscape and grazing animals.
