Jackson is the Principal and Creative Director of local advertising firm Extra Credit Projects. The firm celebrates their ten-year anniversary this year, and in that time has racked up numerous local and national advertising awards, including six OBIE Awards from the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) as well as over 250 local, regional, and national ADDY awards from the American Advertising Federation. The firm is also currently representing Grand Rapids and the Midwest in the prestigious 2016 Print Magazine Regional Design Annual.
Extra Credit Projects’ clients have included the Ad Council in NYC, Anheuser-Busch St Louis, Michigan State University, Harper Collins, Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, United Way, and the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, just to name a few.
To be awarded the Silver Medal, a nominee must demonstrate success and original thinking in their field, work to raise standards in the world of advertising, and be actively involved in civic activities that contribute to human or social welfare.
In addition to working in advertising for over 20 years, Jackson is a US Navy veteran and has served as an adjunct faculty member at KCAD and Syracuse University and as an advisor with The Polishing Center.
