News Bites: Continuing Studies Director Featured in Exhibition in South Korea

Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University Director of Continuing Studies Brenda Sipe was recently invited to be part of a group exhibition in Seoul, South Korea with three other artists.

Held at Lee Seoul Gallery, Crossing Boundaries II: Parallel Lines explored the parallels in the perspectives of American and Korean artists through the unique insights of the four participating artists.

The exhibition was curated by one of the participating artists, Sunsook Roh, who hails from Korea and is currently based in Singapore and New York. Other included artists were InSoon Felch, a Korean-born artist who now lives in American and teaches in KCAD’s Continuing Studies program, and artist Sharon Sandberg, who teaches at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids.

Sipe exhibited a series of paintings showcasing the natural landscapes of Maine and West Michigan using trees and vines as connecting points.
