News Bites: Graphic Design Alum published in Photographer’s Forum magazine
Twice each year, the editors of Photographer’s Forum magazine publish the best photographs from the numerous portfolios submitted by emerging professionals from around the world. The magazine’s Fall 2014 issue features three selections from 2014 KCAD Graphic Design grad Donna Karadsheh.
Though a Graphic Design major, Karadsheh minored in Photography, taking numerous courses in the subject, including an independent study course in studio lighting just before graduation. As it turns out, her motivation to study both subjects intensely has proved to be a winning combination.
“This work [from Karadsheh] address the physical and emotional bond between two people involved in a fictitious relationship for the camera,” said Photography Program Chair Adam DeKraker. “Donna is able to pre-visualize lighting and the ways it can transform the human physique through in-camera capture and Photoshop editing. Having a portfolio of her work published in Photographer's Forum magazine validates her artistic ability and the skills she learned while at KCAD.”
