News Bites: Master of Architecture Professor Lectures at the University of Michigan

Dr. Michael McCulloch, an assistant professor in the Master of Architecture (MArch) program at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) was recently invited to give a guest lecture at the University of Michigan’s Institute for the Humanities.

Titled “Reform and Risk: Industrialists’ Housing in Model T Era Detroit,” Dr. McCulloch’s lecture focused on the housing policies set forth by the Ford Motor Company and other prominent Detroit manufacturers in the wake of World War II and how they drove the city’s design and helped shape its identity.

Dr. McCulloch holds a Ph.D. in Architecture with a History and Theory specialization from the University of Michigan and is a former fellow at the university’s Institute for the Humanities.
