MFA Painting student Aj Cooke, who will graduate this May, will be displaying part of her graduate thesis work in an exhibition at Craft House Gallery entitled Perception and Place: CH030715-3.

According to Cooke’s artist statement, the exhibition’s site-specific installation “explores how individual perception creates meaning within the shared conventions of our world by re-coding a structure with visual language that is personally derived from a framework of established design.”

An opening reception for Perception and Place: CH030715-3 will be held on Friday, May 1 from 6-9pm. The exhibition runs through May 9.
