News Bites: Professor and Alum to Help Avenue for the Arts Celebrate Opening of 307 [work] Space
This Friday from 6-9pm, Avenue for the Arts is celebrating the opening of its new headquarters, 307 [work] Space, with a special exhibition entitled “Feedback” that will feature work by KCAD Drawing professor Danielle Wyckoff and alum Heather Duffy (‘12, MFA Painting), as well as local artists Jessica Hacker and Ryan Wyrick.

The artists in “Feedback” will be showcasing new and experimental work that has been informed by a formal critique session in which the artists opened their work up to each others ideas and perspectives. This bold collaborative process has directly informed the resulting conversations between their pieces.

Going forward, Avenue for the Arts is planning to use 307 [work] Space as not just a headquarters, but a space that can adapt to handle a number of different events and activities, from exhibitions to community meetings to educational programming and everything in between.
The opening reception for “Feedback” is free and open to the public. More information can be found on the Facebook event page.
