Three Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) faculty members, adjunct instructors Damian Goidich and Taylor Mazer and Assistant Professor Matthew Schenk, are featured in an exhibition currently on display at Kalamazoo Valley Community College’s Center for New Media/Arcus Gallery in Kalamazoo, Mich.

15 Years of Decay: Defying the Local showcases recent and past works from the trio of award-winning artists.

In addition to teaching in the Illustration program, Goidich and Mazer are both KCAD alumni. Goidich, who earned his MFA from KCAD in 2013, received the MFA Excellence in Art Purchase Award from Ferris State in 2013 and was a two-recipient of the Golden Apple Art Residency Scholarship.

Mazer, who graduated from KCAD with a BFA in Illustration in 2012, has racked up a number of awards recently, including best in Show at the 2016 Old Town Art Fair in Chicago and 1st place in the 30th Annual LowellArts! Regional Exhibition in Lowell, Mich.

Schenk, who teaches in the Medical Illustration program, most recently won three awards in 2015 Festival of the Arts Juried Exhibition held in Grand Rapids: the Festival 2D Juror Award, the Christina Marie Bivins Memorial Award, and the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts Solo Exhibition Award.
