Posted March 15, 2016 in AlumniNews BitesIllustration

Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) alumnus Scott Hoyle (’74, Illustration) was recently featured in a Q&A on the World Photography Organisation (WPO) blog.

Hoyle was interviewed for the blog after being included in THE FENCE 2015, a juried international photography exhibition presented in a series of large-scale, curated, outdoor exhibitions across five cities in the United States: Brooklyn, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, and Santa Fe. Images from Hoyle’s “Wave Pacific” series were included in all but the Santa Fe exhibition.

This is Hoyle’s second time participating in THE FENCE, having been selected for inclusion in the Brooklyn Park exhibition in 2013. After working for 35 years as a professional illustrator and graphic designer, Hoyle retired to pursue his passion for fine art and photography and has already enjoyed tremendous success. Since 2012 he has been featured in over 30 exhibitions, including ArtPrize 2015, where his work was at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and has won a number of awards, including top honors in the 2012 International Conservation Photography Awards and a Silver Award in the 2015 San Francisco International Photo Exhibition, among many others.
