Take Notice: Announcing the 2020-21 Award of Excellence Scholarship Winners

Posted February 28, 2020 in StudentPublic

When it comes to helping students succeed, KCAD believes that the strongest support comes from understanding who our students are and what drives them to create.

That’s why the annual Award of Excellence scholarship—open to all incoming freshman and transfer students—asks applicants to submit five examples of their best work as well as a brief statement outlining their creative process and the ideas they’re exploring through it.

“No matter what program our students enter, our mission is the same: to transform their creative passion into professional possibility. That’s why it’s so critical that we do everything we can to understand what sparks their creativity and what they’re interested in exploring,” said Dean of Student Success Sandy Britton. “It’s all about giving them fertile soil to grow in, from the moment we first engage them to the moment they graduate.”

This year’s winners were selected from a highly competitive pool, with each applicant demonstrating a high-level of technical and creative skill. The dynamic artworks selected explore contemporary issues, analyze and interpret complicated topics, and articulate ideas cohesively.

KCAD would like to congratulate the following students who have earned an Award of Excellence Scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year:
