About
Angela L. Dow, Professor of Graphic Design at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University, served as chair of the program for 13 years and has spent her 22 years at KCAD helping to research, develop, and evolve the contemporary curriculum for the Graphic Design program; co-developing a four-course graduate concentration in Design and Innovation Management; leading a number of interdisciplinary projects and study away courses at the institution; and participating in the development of leading-edge programs like the General Education “Pathways” model.
Angela has presented design research papers nationally and internationally and had a research collaboration published in the CEA Forum online journal. She has served as an accreditation peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission for 15 years and previously served as Programming Chair and Co-President of the Board of Directors for the American Advertising Federation of West Michigan and as Mentorship Chair for the Board of the AIGA West Michigan. She continues to freelance and consult in design, advertising, strategy, and copywriting, primarily for non-profit organizations and local businesses.
