About

Lori A. Faulkner is Associate Professor and Founding Chair of the Fashion Studies Program at Kendall College of Art and Design.  She received advanced degrees from Central Michigan University, Michigan State University, and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.  Her background of industry experience and academic training give her a unique perspective which she uses to inspire students.  Lori maintains her ties with the fashion industry keeping the fashion studies program infused with the latest news and innovative technology.  Collaborations with the community create real-life opportunities for her students and lay the groundwork for instilling good work ethic and creative problem-solving.   In addition to teaching, Lori is a charter member of the Michigan Garment Industry Council and serves Kendall as a member of the President’s Council, Dean’s Academic Council, Academic Senate and Visiting Artists Committee.   She currently resides in Rockford, MI with her husband Jack, and their two daughters, Allyson and Ashley.
