Adam Schuitema, Ph.D.

About

Dr. Adam Schuitema teaches a variety of General Education courses at KCAD, including Intro to Narrative Studies, Creative Writing, Advanced Creative Writing, and sections devoted to modern literature. He earned his Ph.D. and MFA from Western Michigan University and joined the KCAD faculty in 2007.

Adam is a fiction writer and author of the short-story collections 'The Things We Do That Make No Sense' (2017) and 'Freshwater Boys' (2010) and the novel 'Haymaker' (2015). His works have twice been named Michigan Notable Books by the Library of Michigan.
